My wife absolutely loved this vehicle and hated mine (2011 Mazda2, Standard Transmission). After she passed, I decided to retain her vehicle, in tribute to her and my girls, who did the homework and shopping for this car. I prefer a more sporty looking vehicle but, with the exception of what I consider "fair" gas mileage (20-28 mpg), this is an excellent vehicle. The crystal white pearl MICA exterior paint is absolutely the nicest looking white vehicle I have ever seen or owned. I have on rare occasions achieved 30+ mpg on exclusively highway driving but that is rare. The car has adequate power and does really great in the snow with standard traction features. I'm not crazy about the bucket seats in the second row. They are nice seats but I give up a passenger spot for access to "cramped" third road seating. Tires and brakes wear well and my average yearly maintenance costs (Dealer and self maintained) are $314.09 (5 full years, 2019 through May 2, is $144.14). That number includes all wear and tear items and mandatory state inspections. The sound system is great and visibility is very good. Workmanship is outstanding, interior and exterior. Climate control systems works great but heated air to the rear seats is not directly available while conditioned air is! With the third row seats folded down, storage is more than adequate for travel. With some maneuvering of the 2nd row, large items can be transported.
  • Amazing Value and Utilitity

We've had it 5 years and we'll probably never sell it. We'd just never get anything near it's intrinsic value. We have the manual transmission Sport model. It's nimble and quick, in spite of the small engine, because it's so light; which makes it genuinely fun to drive on a daily basis. It is important to understand that this is more like a station wagon with a pop up third row for rare circumstances than a minivan. This car just happens to also have sliding rear doors, which are insanely practical and useful. If you regularly need a third row, especially for anyone taller than 4'6", then this isn't for you. But we have two small kids, and about 4 times a year we want to put the grandparents in here too. For us, it's been perfect. Also, it's totally bulletproof, so my wallet is happy.
  • Durable Miniwagon

I've had this vehicle since March 2013. I always said I would never have a "mom van", but this was the most affordable of its kind. I refer to it as a miniwagon because it's not as tall as a van, but isn't really a wagon either. Buying in the early part of 2013, I was able to get a 2012 for a fair price that someone else had customized and bailed on with leather interior and second row DVD headrests. Handles like a sedan, but the fact that it's taller keeps me from rounding curves like crazy. I had 2 Kia's prior, both of which had Bluetooth, was kind of disappointed this one did not. Love that the second row is captain seats, was surprised to find both have small storage underneath. Third row is a bit cramped, but we don't use it often for passengers, more for storage. Having had this car for almost 7yrs I will definitely get another van. Nothing beats having the sliding doors, it's so convenient when getting your kids in/out.
